YOU HAVE A Committee???

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything ACCORDING TO HIS WILL,
He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him”

You can talk directly with Him any time you want. He doesn’t have bodyguards to get past; He doesn’t use an answering service that you have to deal with, and He doesn’t have voice mail where you have to leave a message. Can’t you just imagine: “Press ONE if you are a believer (pause), press TWO if you wish to proceed in English (pause). Sorry, but the offices of Almighty God are closed right now; please return your call during normal business hours. Thank you for your patience.”

Sometimes our prayers can feel like they have run into the above scenario. The difference between effective prayer that brings God’s answers into situations and ineffective prayers that don’t get answered is simple. Right prayer is all about the motives behind your prayer, your attitudes about your problem, and whether you truly believe God’s will always produces the best solution. Binding and loosing prayers help you focus on wanting His will and perfect solution in every circumstance and stop you from focusing upon the problem! Wrong prayers always come out of The Committee’s backroom sneaky meetings!

Dethroning The Committee
You will hear His voice a lot more when you learn how to silence The Committee which is always trying to mess up your communications with God. How do you do this?

Binding and loosing prayers are excellent at dealing with all the reactions and distractions your unsurrendered soul will throw up when you and everything around you seem to be going into meltdown.

• The term Unsurrendered Soul refers to the state of your soul when it is flailing about full of panic, fear, doubt, worry, and negative anticipation.
• The term The Committee is the state of your soul when it goes into overdrive to scheme and plot the best way to stay in control of your words, choices, and behaviors, deny your pain and fear, and keep God from interfering.

Your unsurrendered soul (The Committee) is made up of:

• Your unrenewed mind (which establishes your belief systems, makes your decisions, and is The Master Schemer of The Committee).
• Your unsurrendered will (which provides the boldness and drive to enforce your soul’s desires and decisions, and is The Enforcer of The Committee).
• Your unhealed emotions (which can end up driving your choices and decisions like a herd of wild horses, and are The Drama Queens and Kings of The Committee).

The Committee is always chipping away at your efforts to do the right thing, the God thing:

• You may have tried to wait upon God in the past only to end up believing that your answer wasn’t going to come in time. So you tried to fix things yourself and everything got worse.
• You may have tried to agree with and trust the outcome of your problems to Him only to decide that you needed to help Him and everything got messier.
• You may have tried to pray the binding and loosing prayers but became impatient when you didn’t get an answer right away and you got more discouraged.

Waiting upon God doesn’t mean just passively marking time until He finally gets around to performing a miracle on your behalf. God NEVER just “finally gets around to anything.” He always moves with purpose in accordance to His character and His love for you. Your problem may be that you and The Committee have already bailed out of the boat and are swimming towards a shore with jagged rocks hiding just under the surface of the water.

You absolutely can learn how to stop The Committee from pushing you into doing foolish and dangerous things and use your time of waiting for His perfect answer to refine your knowledge, your skills, and your abilities so that you are up-to-speed and ready to step right into His answer when it arrives! Do that by reading the Word and by thanking Him for all the things He has done for you, continues to do for you every day, and plans to do for you in the future while you are loosing and deconstructing the lies of The Committee!
