(This proposal is very simple—actual manuscript proposal writing will be taught in writing school)
Note: Use header which should include manuscript title, author’s name, address, and phone number

Title page (one page only) of proposal should include:

• Content:

  • Title of manuscript

  • What is your vision of your manuscript

  • Brief overview of your manuscript

  • Anticipated manuscript length (in word count)

  • Anticipated final manuscript completion date

• Market

  • Who do you see as buying your book

• Author

  • What unique perspective you bring to this manuscript

  • Your writing background - your previous writings – published or non-published

Second and third pages (two pages only) of proposal should include:

• Chapter by chapter synopsis

Next ten pages (ten pages only)

• Sample of your manuscript
